Sunset

The view out my art-room window at sunset yesterday.

Not photoshopped.

Now what does that mean, I wonder, "not photoshopped"? Why do people say that?

A quick search on google produces about 77,400 hits for "not photoshopped".

Reading through some of these and thinking of my own impulse, it must mean that the author is asserting the authenticity of an image that would otherwise be doubted.

If I took an ordinary photo of my shoe, I'd be unlikey to assert its veracity.

It means also that amazing pictures are now routinely regarded as fixed, not fact.

It was an amazing sunset, one about which I still must say: not photoshopped.

Cool post Daily! It could be a good slogan for a bumper sticker or a t-shirt; "not PhotoShopped"!
